UTI 40th: Annual UTI Lecture with Rev. Dr. Howard-John Wesley

Premiering: Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 11:45 am
Annual UTI Lecture with Rev. Dr. Howard-John Wesley
Senior Pastor – Alfred Street Baptist Church, Alexandria, VA

For 40 years, the Urban Theological Institute at United Lutheran Seminary has been dedicated to providing theological education to church leaders that is relevant and upbuilding for the African American community. If you have a sense God is calling you to be a pastor, to serve as a social justice advocate, Christian educator, chaplain, teacher, or church leader, UTI can equip you with the theological education you need to succeed in your chosen ministry. Through programming and courses, UTI provides opportunities for clergy and laypersons to prepare themselves for service as educated leaders of the church.

From September 22-25, 2020, UTI will hold a virtual 40th year celebration featuring the annual UTI lecture, annual UTI sermon, chapel worship and piano concert. All events will be featured on the ULS YouTube channel.

Help us in strengthening the voice of the Black Church especially during this current season we are experiencing in America, please consider partnering with us by making a gift to the endowed chair in African American Studies.
